This Privacy Policy explains how Home Management (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Home Management mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

  • Account information: name (optional), email address or phone number (depending on sign-in method).
  • Home/house data: house name, join code usage, tenant membership, roles (Admin/Landlord or Tenant).
  • Tasks & schedules: chores, assignments, statuses, recurring schedule settings (weekly/biweekly), rotation settings.
  • Rent tracking data: rent amount, due day, and paid status per tenant (as entered by users).
  • Announcements & notifications: house announcements and inbox-style message/notification content.
  • Basic diagnostics: app performance and crash information (to keep the Service reliable).

How we use information

  • Provide core features such as house setup, joining by code, role-based access, tasks, schedules, rent tracking, and announcements.
  • Send reminders and notifications about due tasks, schedules, and house updates (where enabled).
  • Improve reliability, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Service, for example:

  • Within your house: other members of your house can see relevant shared content (e.g., chores, schedules, announcements, and rent statuses) based on your roles and permissions.
  • Service providers: vendors that help us run the Service (e.g., hosting, analytics, crash reporting), limited to what they need to perform services for us.
  • Legal: if required to comply with a legal obligation or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We may retain certain information longer where required for legitimate business purposes or legal compliance.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

  • Access & updates: you can update certain information within the app where available.
  • Notifications: you can control notification permissions in your device settings.
